If a recliner leans back, isn't it already tilting? It comes down to the pivot point. A typical recliner pivots from the base of the backrest and the top of the footrest. With exclusive VivaLift!® Tilt, Pride added a third dimension: the Ultra pivots from the rear of the chair, elevating the front of the seat, similar to a rocking chair.
The result is a genuinely comfortable Weightless Tilt experience — legs raised above heart level, distributing weight and pressure evenly along the body, rather than the flat recline of an ordinary lift chair.
True to its name, the Ultra has three heating pads — in the shoulders, lumbar and seat — each with three heat levels. An advanced air-bladder massage system applies gentle pressure to the lower back with three intensity settings, controlled with easily accessible buttons on the inside of the armrest.
A hideaway wireless charging station keeps a phone topped up out of sight, and a discreet pull-out cup holder keeps drinks close without cluttering the armrest. A lithium battery backup means the chair still lifts and lowers safely if the power goes out, and a USB charging port and side storage pockets round out a chair built for actual daily use, not just a showroom demo.
Every Ultra is an FDA Class II Medical Device, tested to ANSI/RESNA standards and Pride's own additional testing regimen — static load and stability, strength and fatigue, armrest force, and electronic systems durability among them. Pride backs the lift and scissor mechanism and lift frame with a lifetime warranty for the original owner, plus a 7-year prorated warranty on the chair overall.
