Electropedic • Factory-Direct • Since 1964
Everything a Los Angeles County homeowner needs to know before choosing an AccessBDD HomeGlide, Flow X, or Supra Linea platform lift — presented by a third-generation, factory-direct family business trusted since 1964.
Our Story
For three generations, Electropedic has done one thing with complete devotion: help people move through their own homes safely, comfortably and with dignity. What began in 1964 as a single family's commitment to independence has grown into one of the most trusted names in mobility and sleep products anywhere in California — without ever losing the personal, handshake spirit it started with.
We are factory-direct, which means the stair lift or platform lift you buy from us comes without the markup of a middleman — and with the backing of a family that has been solving mobility challenges for over sixty years. Every AccessBDD stair lift and platform lift we deliver is fitted, installed and serviced by our own trained technicians, not a subcontractor we've never met.
Our showrooms in Burbank and Garden Grove welcome walk-ins every day, and our vans are on the road across Los Angeles County every week, bringing in-home consultations, free quotes, delivery, installation and ongoing service directly to your door. That is the Electropedic promise: three generations, one family, always factory-direct.
The Buyer’s Guide
AccessBDD has spent over 40 years engineering stair lift and platform lift equipment, earning recognition as a Which? Recommended stairlift brand. Below, Electropedic walks you through every configuration — indoor, outdoor, straight, curved, and inclined platform — so you can choose with confidence.

Indoor · Straight
The HomeGlide is AccessBDD's straight indoor stair lift, built around a slim aluminum rail that fits onto the staircase itself rather than the wall — which means a quick, low-disruption install and a modern, clean look on almost any staircase as narrow as 29 inches.
Every HomeGlide includes a retractable one-handed seatbelt with a fastening sensor, a soft-touch joystick, and battery backup that keeps it running through a power outage. Step up to HomeGlide Extra for a powered swivel seat, powered linked footrest, four seat-height positions, and a keylock for restricted access.

Outdoor · Straight
Built on the same platform as the indoor HomeGlide, the Outdoor version is certified from -10°C to +50°C (14°F to 122°F) and comes with a weatherproof cover to protect it from rain, dust and sunlight when not in use — so a garden, deck or exterior entry stays accessible year-round.
A manual 70° swivel seat at the landing makes for a safe, easy exit, and a keylock option restricts use to authorized riders only.

Indoor & Outdoor · Curved
The Flow X is AccessBDD's curved stair lift, engineered to fit staircases as narrow as 24 inches (610mm) thanks to its patented Advanced Swivel and Levelling (ASL) technology — the seat rotates and stays level automatically as it travels, even through tight bends and landings.
A single discreet rail is custom-built to the exact shape of your staircase and can be installed on either side, so the rest of the household keeps full use of the stairs. Ergonomically-tapered, open-access armrests make transferring on and off simple.

Platform Lift · Indoor & Outdoor
The Supra Linea is AccessBDD's inclined platform lift — a powered wheelchair platform that rides along a single rail mounted to a straight staircase, carrying a wheelchair or scooter user safely between levels without the footprint of a ramp.
Built almost entirely from anodized aluminum for rust resistance, the Supra Linea is IP45-rated for outdoor use and folds down to just 14.57 inches when not in use, keeping the staircase clear for everyone else in the home. An automatic access ramp opens at each landing and closes again before travel for safety.
